'I’ve become the strongest I've ever been'

Thinking back, what was the problem you needed to solve when you contacted Craig?

I wanted to gain more muscle and strength but didn’t have the knowledge or confidence to step foot in the gym and do this in the best way.

 

What do you feel you’ve achieved during your time working with Craig?

I feel the main thing I have achieved is feeling confident enough to step foot in the gym and perform a structured workout without feeling lost or questioning if I’m doing it correctly.

I’ve also become the strongest I’ve ever been, ticking off some nice goals such as doing my first pull-up and deadlifting my own body weight.

I now enjoy going to the gym and look forward to each workout.

 

What’s different in your life today compared to before you started working with Craig?

I think the biggest difference is my confidence and the way I mentally approach working out, I no longer feel anxious about stepping foot in the gym and actually look forward to it.

 

If you had to pick one thing, what would be your highlight so far? Which thing are you most pleased about?

It would be hard to pick one highlight but I think my main one would be deadlifting my own body weight.

It was something I was working towards from the start and managing to do it felt like I was really making good progress in my strength goals. 

 

How has Craig helped you solve your problem? What do you particularly like about his approach and delivery?

Craig has tailored his approach to my needs massively and it’s helped to keep me consistent and focused.

As I was training for my first marathon, Craig tweaked my workouts so that the combination of marathon training and weight training wouldn’t be too much.

This helped me avoid injury whilst keeping me strong enough to complete the race.

Craig is always open to changes and regularly catches up with me to see if the training is right for me.

Balancing marathon training and weight training is very difficult but Craig helped me do this and stay consistent, which stopped me from losing any of my muscle gain in the process.

 

What are your health and fitness goals from this point onwards? Are they any different to before you started working with Craig?

My main goals going forward are to work primarily on building strength and muscle.

Without training for any marathons this year, I want to put all of my energy into this while still maintaining cardio training with running.

 

If someone was to ask you your thoughts about working with Craig, what would you say?

I would say it’s great working with Craig.

The program and workouts can make massive differences in your life.

It’s not all focussed on how you look and what the physical differences are, but also on how you are feeling mentally.

Craig is open to changes and never puts you under any pressure, always available for questions and help.
